KESHA - HERE COMES THE CHANGE
MUSIC VIDEO
DIRECTOR
RCA Records
For Kesha's protest anthem "Here Comes the Change", I was inspired by the proud history of American protest. The video pays tribute to movements of the past through 1960s protest footage (sourced from the National Archives), and then updates these images with choreographed vignettes that highlight modern-day movements for social change.
Working with projection artist, Ryan Padgett, we developed a unique hologram projection technique to float the words in mid-air and amidts the action. No post-production graphics were used.
This song is the title track to the upcoming Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic "On the Basis of Sex". And the video's call-to-action, in partnership with Head Count, encourages viewers to register to vote. The video was featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, Pitchfork, the New York Times, and others.
